About Stephen Rutherford

Stephen Rutherford

I have been painting in watercolor for 30+ years. I studied at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco. After graduating in 1984, I moved to New York City and worked as a freelance illustrator. I produced drawings and paintings for magazines, design firms, and advertising agencies. I worked in acrylic at the time, and my paintings appeared in such magazines as Food & Wine and Travel & Leisure. In the early 1990's I switched careers to computer science and created medical education software for Cornell University in New York. I am currently Director and Principal Engineer for Oracle Health and AI. Today, I paint for myself, and for my loyal clients.
