I walk by this beautifully restored fire house with my dog every week and thought it would make a nice painting. Now occupied by Arcus Design Group, the Malvern Fire Company used this building from 1899 to 1982 when they moved south of East King Street at the eastern boundary of the borough.
I have been painting in watercolor for 30+ years. I studied at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco. After graduating in 1984, I moved to New York City and worked as a freelance illustrator. I produced drawings and paintings for magazines, design firms, and advertising agencies. I worked in acrylic at the time, and my paintings appeared in such magazines as Food & Wine and Travel & Leisure. In the early 1990's I switched careers to computer science and created medical education software for Cornell University in New York. I am currently Director and Principal Engineer for Oracle Health and AI. Today, I paint for myself, and for my loyal clients.
